MANDRAKE ROOT WATERCOLOR TIMELAPSE & APOTHECARY LABEL DESIGN FOR SAMHAIN (Harry Potter Fandom)10/17/2020 In today's video I wanted to show you how I painted and designed our magickal MANDRAKE ROOT, also known as Mandragora for the Samhain Apothecary Label Pack! This root has a human-like figure and is said to have a scream resembling a banshee, and can kill anyone with it if they aren't wearing proper ear protection! Although this herb/plant/root is an actual real life thing, some of its magickal properties are a bit more mythological (such as the scream), and attributed to pop-culture fiction - most notably The Harry Potter series. Hello Loves! After much anticipation, I am SO excited to finally be able to share with you, some Patron Rewards for the month of October! I have just released the SAMHAIN Apothecary jar label printables on my Patreon page, that you can just print out on your own sticker paper, and place on any mason jars or recycled old jars you have lying around. Why not make them into something pretty!?!? These are great to place herbs in for your herbal witchy apothecary collections! I have loads of spooky fun waiting for you in this month's Apothecary collection dedicated to the SPOOKY SEASON! I will be focusing on herbs mostly associated with Halloween, better known as Samhain on the Pagan Wheel of the Year. I polled my private Facebook community to see what herbs you wanted labels for, and you guys gave me TONS of really great ones! And then I added some of my own! I really wanted to have fun with these, so I added a few silly ones, or ones you might find in witchy pop culture :-) Some of these pop culture ones ARE actual real herbs, so proceed with caution. SOME ARE POISONOUS! Remember to always do your research when using herbs, not only in your magick, but most certainly when planning to ingest as well! A couple other things I would like to note - last month when I released my Mabon labels, I got a lot of great feedback! One question from one of my Patrons was, "Did you illustrate these yourself?' And the answer sadly was, no - I had received all of the images you see in the Mabon pack from a royalty free stock gallery, and used those due to time constraints. However, that question really inspired me to want to illustrate my own. I AM an artist, so it just made sense to do that this time around. I really feel like this label pack is special. Another thing I want to note, is that same patron who inspired me to illustrate this pack myself, ended up being a collaborator! I would like to introduce you guys to my Patron and Magickal Moon Collective member, Heather Johnson! She illustrated the Mugwort label that you see in this pack. Thank you so much Heather for the inspiration and also for lending your magickal talents to the pack :-) I hope to collab with you again soon! Hey Patrons! I am so unbelievably excited to announce a couple things brewing in our virtual coven over in my Magickal Moon Collective Private Facebook Community!  First off, I want to thank patron Jen Reichle for bringing the idea of a Mabon Seed Exchange to the group! This was so much fun, and another great way we have been able to form a more personal connection with one another as a working magickal group! The intention here was to send some of our own seeds from this year's garden to other participants. Come winter's end next year, we will all plant these seeds and add a little of our magick to eachother's gardens, deepening our bond as soul sisters :-) We have all sent our seeds out, so we're just waiting to receive them all now. Once we do, Jen will also lead us in a virtual seed blessing ritual that she has crafted herself. Thank you SO much Jen, for leading us in this activity! I am looking forward to it! Also- I have filmed a little of my behind the scenes process of how I culled my seeds from my own garden, packaged them, and created all the magickal packages that I sent out to participants. I will post that soon... Here is a little peek of what I sent :  I designed these custom spell cards that go with each herb's seeds that I sent in hand drawn/painted packets. I will add the spell card files to my $1 tier printables gallery. You can print these out to use these spell cards in your own garden magick next year! They are also great to add to your own Book of Shadows! They are 5x7 cards. Those are in a separate post HERE! Next up.... We have our first batch of Patron-led Workshops by the multi-talented Shelley Hitch!  In this upcoming workshop, Shelley will teach us how to intensify our daily magickal workings with candles, through the use of colors, scents, and other correspondences. Candle magick is a great tool to incorporate into your daily magickal practice as we grow closer to the thinning of the veil that comes with Samhain!  This next event will be so much fun! Also led by Shelley Hitch - Come celebrate the scents of Autumn with us as Shelley shows us some of Partylite's most current line of Fall candles! This is a candle demonstration, and you will have the chance to stock up on some candles for the season! Hello Loves!
In today's video, I will take you over to my parents house because it is time to harvest the tomatoes and jar some sauce for the winter! This is always a fun family activity that gets everyone involved! I would like to introduce to you my Nonna Giuseppina.
I remember sitting in her kitchen as a young child and watching her cook! She would make vats of pasta to feed an army, and I would help her bread and fry some fresh garden vegetables that she would pick right from her own backyard. Summer always brings back the fondest memories of tending to the garden and using its fresh gifts to cook with family. Come join me and the famigilia, and see how we harvest our tomatoes, jar our sauce, and just enjoy being in the kitchen together, making a mess and laughing a lot!

*NOTE: The full moon actually falls on Thursday, October 1, but due to scheduling reasons, the event will take place on the Friday after, which is October 2. The moon should still be full, but leaning toward the waning side, so it's an excellent time for us to work with some banishing magick! Also it's important to note that we have TWO FULL MOONS IN OCTOBER THIS YEAR!! The second full moon, also known as the blue moon, will take place ON SAMHAIN/HALLOWEEN! How cool is that!?! In today's video, I will take you through my month of August, as we celebrate our First Harvest, also known as Lammas or Lughnasadh, on the Pagan Wheel of the Year. In this vlog I will give you a little tour of our garden and show you all of the magickal little things we have growing! We grew some zucchini, butternut squash, pumpkins, and I will give you a little update on the Sunflowers we planted from seed in my Summer Solstice Vlog!
