Quarantine Vlog | SHE NEVER SAW THIS COMING! - Surprising My Mom w/ a Birthday Car Parade Hello Magickal Beings! I'm back with another Quarantine Vlog. This past week my mom celebrated her 60th trip around the sun, except this year, we had to celebrate a bit...differently. As you all know, we are still in quarantine, which means no birthday parties or gatherings of 10 people or more (or so it was at the time) - since then, our NJ governor has raised the limit to 25 gathering outdoors, but still no more than 10 inside. My mom had planned a party for herself, which we unfortunately had to cancel. She was super bummed! However, my cousin contacted me and suggested that I consider throwing her a "new normal" aka quarantine birthday car parade party for my mom's milestone! I thought it was a great idea! Here is a fun video of the behind the scenes and all that went into planning this memorable event. It did not come without its challenges, including me figuring out how to get the gift table decorated and ready to place in front of the driveway without ruining the surprise beforehand. Also, my printer ran out of ink as I tried to finish the goodie bag tags, and my sewing machine kept jamming on me as I tried to finish her gift. And, I lost my cat in that black hole of a storage room... All challenges, and joking aside... It really touched my heart, all of the family and friends who came through to give her one of the MOST memorable birthday ever, despite these quarantine restrictions. Hello Lovelies,
I hope you are all doing well, and are staying healthy and active. I thought I would share with you some things that I am doing to keep myself occupied during quarantine. One thing I am doing a lot of, (or trying to anyway), is spending time outside, planting flowers and trying my hand at gardening. I would not consider myself a professional or a seasoned gardener by any means. This video is just an example of how much my process is trial and error. I have only been a homeowner for 2 1/2 years now, so I still have lots to learn! I thought I would start simple with brightening up the area around our front yard lamppost. In this video I will be planting pansies. We had some dead mums leftover from the winter there, so it was definitely time for a freshen up for the spring season. I also cleaned up some sticks from the backyard, so my hubbz could mow the lawn, and cleaned up more leaves from our front porch area. It was all in all a productive day. I hope you enjoy spending some time here with me while I make my home a more beautiful and comforting space to live in. I hope you can find these tips useful when brightening up your home as well. Maybe this video will give you some ideas of things to do while you're in quarantine. This will be the first of many quarantine vlogs for me. I know I'm a bit late to the game, but I have been filming a lot since April, so I have a lot of backlogged footage that I can't wait to start editing.
