Bohemian Magic Studios Presents Witchin' Kitchen Yuletide Sugar Scrub Ornaments Hello Magickal Beings! This video was intended for last year’s Yuletide season (2017), however, the holidays became a whirlwind, and I could not get around to editing this video. However, fret not! None of the footage I ever take is discarded or disregarded as scrap. I have instead decided to edit and repurpose it for THIS holiday season, because it's still an awesome idea. So I hope you enjoy these nonetheless, even if they’re a bit late ;-) Now without further adieu, here is a recipe/bath and body craft project I tried with some cute empty ball ornaments that I found at the dollar store (2 for $1). The recipe is pretty straight forward, it only uses a few basic ingredients that you can find in your home pantry, as well as some doTerra Essential Oils. In this video, I will be showing you how to make 2 different scrubs! Peppermint Scrub Ingredients: 1 cup of white granulated sugar 1 candy cane (crushed to a fine powder) 3-5 drops of doTERRA Peppermint Essential Oil Star Anise (crushed) 1 or 2 Whole Fresh Mint Leaves Red Organza Ribbon Cinnamon & Clove Orange Spice Scrub Ingredients: 1 Cup of Brown Sugar 1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon Sugar 3-5 Drops of doTERRA Cassia Oil 3-5 Drops of doTERRA Clove Oil Zest of 1 orange Crushed Clove and Hibiscus Flower Chopped Orange Rinds Gold Organza and Silk Ribbon Also be sure to include a small jar of extra virgin coconut oil along with your gift, so your recipient can have their own fun concocting their very own special sugar scrub themselves! This Montclair, NJ small business specializes in homemade bath and body products, which are HANDMADE in small batches to ensure the quality of the product! This past weekend, I had the pleasure of sharing demonstration space with the company’s Lady Boss Paige Davis, and I picked up a few of her products. As I was sniffing the array of her yummy and pleasingly aromatic products, she had me, hook line and sinker when I saw that she had a whipped sugar scrub titled PRACTICAL MAGIC. It’s a whimsical minty shade of green and topped with dried rose buds, body glitter and PURE MAGICK! I could not WAIT to take this home. This scrub is a blend of sandalwood, bergamot, green clover, aloe, and dragons blood and smells OH SO YUMMY! How many Jimmy Angeloves do you think this concoction could resurrect!?! The Dragon and the Wolf Wax and Bath Crafts Scrub Butter is an easy to use Foaming Scrub that is mild enough to use every day. (NATIVE Unboxing & Review) Hello Magickal Beings!!! I am SO excited to finally be bringing you this video! If you have watched some of my earlier doTERRA oil videos and unboxings, you would know that the armpit struggle is REAL! Last year I made the switch from store bought deodorant, to ALL NATURAL. I was using the doTERRA nature stick, and I was extremely less than pleased about it. I would sweat through it, I would smell my own sweat through it, I would still feel sweaty and gross, and it was just not a pleasant feeling in the heat of the summer. So I was very curious when I saw the ad for this new al natural deodorant, creeping on my Facebook. I decided that I would give it a try! Here is my HONEST review on NATIVE DEODORANT (all natural!) The sticks that I will be covering in this video are in the sample pack box (which are still FULL SIZED BARS!) So I thought that was a great bargain in it of itself. The bars that come in this sample pack are:
*Original Unscented (which you can also just add scent to yourself if you want to. I scent this one with doTERRA’s Whisper or Passion oils.) If you are interested in purchasing any of those oils, please email me at [email protected]! *Lavender & Rose – this is a nice spring fresh clean scent and more feminine! *Coconut Vanilla – Hands down my favorite one! It smells like a pina colada if you love that more tropical scent. It’s great to wear on a day at the beach! (This one does contain some “fragrance” which I touch on in the video. ARE THEY REALLY ALL NATURAL? I really wanted to comb through the ingredients just to make sure it was all natural, and any ingredients that I didn’t understand the names of, I did my own research just to make sure these fancy words were in fact all natural. I encourage you to do the same. Native Deodorant ingredients contain the following: Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides. * A mixture derived from coconut oil and glycerin. It comes in the form of an oily liquid, and is sometimes mistakenly referred to as fractionated coconut oil. Caprylic mainly works as an emollient, dispersing agent and solvent. Sodium bicarbonate is a chemical compound with the formula NaHCO₃. It is a salt composed of sodium ions and bicarbonate ions. Sodium bicarbonate is a white solid that is crystalline but often appears as a fine powder. PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is the polyethylene glycol derivatives of hydrogenated castor oil, and is an amber colored, slightly viscous liquid that has a naturally mildly fatty odor. It is used in cosmetics and beauty products as an emulsifier, surfactant, and fragrance ingredient, according to research. Acidophilus is a microorganism (often called a ‘probiotic’) from the Lactobacillus family of natural bacteria. Its full name is Lactobacillus acidophilus, or L. acidophilus for short. Acidophilus has been well-researched in areas such as digestive health and immunity. Dextrose is he dextrorotatory form of glucose (and the predominant naturally occurring form). Natural Surfactant Enhancer (Glyceryl Caprylate Caprate) is a 100% natural thickener for water based cleansing products. It is made from, 100% renewable sources, through the esterification of glycerin from vegetable oil sources and medium chain fatty acids of coconut and / or palm kernel oil. About GLYCERYL UNDECYLENATE: Glyceryl Undecylenate is an ester of glycerin and undecylenic acid. Function(s): Skin-Conditioning Agent – Emollient; Surfactant – Emulsifying Agent; SKIN CONDITIONING. The Coconut Vanilla Bar contains an ingredient simply labeled as “Fragrance”. Now, I found the term “Fragrance” to be very vague. What is this Fragrance made of, is it synthetic? Why weren’t the fragrances used in the product, listed out in the ingredients? Well my curiosity took it upon herself to contact Native’s product support. They replied with this explanation: ” Our scented deodorants include a proprietary blend of oils. Due to FDA recommendations, we use the term “fragrance” to refer to these oils.” They do insist that these hyperallergenic oils are all natural, but it still makes me wonder what this propietary blend is. Please watch this video to find out what they had to say about all of that in greater detail! And again, please do your own research as well, when choosing your bath and body products! Here is a great article on why companies are not required to tell you what ingredients make up the”fragrance”! Aside from the “fragrance” marking, everything else seems to check out ok! It has absolutely NO parabens, NO talc, NO aluminum, NO propylene glycol, and NO phthalates! That sounds good in my book! It has taken me a couple years to really find an ALL natural deodorant that I could really get behind and be excited about, and NATIVE deodorant is definitely IT! In this video, I will be preparing for my very first doTERRA demonstration and DIY party! My party prep included making some foods and having some options available to let my guests try the oils out for themselves!! Here is the recipe for the pasta salad I made. I made it gluten free so my guests with dietary restrictions could enjoy the meal as well, but feel free to substitute your own dish with regular wheat pasta if you’d like! INGREDIENTS 1 Box of fusilli pasta (wheat or gluten free, up to you!) 1 red onion A few small red/orange/yellow sweet peppers 1 can of pitted and sliced black olives A few sprigs of fresh garden basil & parsley Sea salt Ground Black Pepper Extra Virgin Olive Oil White or Apple Cider Vinegar (up to you… I used white for this) 2-3 drops of Basil doTERRA Essential Oil (Can be purchased here) I will receive a small commission if you purchase through my retail page!) Optional to add (I did not add in this video, but feel free to add to your own!) – Halved cherry or grape tomatoes, and tomato basil feta cheese crumbles. I added those to another summer pasta salad which you can view HERE! DIRECTIONS: 1. Boil your pasta in a pot of sea salted water until cooked to taste (well done or al dente if you’d like) 2. Prep veggies while pasta is cooking. Cut your onions, but don’t cry like I did! haha! Wash and cut your peppers, drain your olives to relieve of high sodium levels, pick and cut your fresh basil and parsley. 3. Drain pasta and add to large bowl. 4. Add your onions, peppers, olives, herbs, & crushed black pepper 5.Toss with extra virgin olive oil and refrigerate until ready to serve 6. Once ready to serve, add your vinaigrette – mix 3/4 cup olive oil, 3/4 vinegar, 2 drops doTERRA Basil Essential Oil into a mixing bottle. Shake well, add over pasta, mix well and serve! Here is the Recipe for the DIY Wild Orange and Peppermint Sugar Foot Scrub! Ingredients & Directions: 1. Add 1 tablespoon of Coconut Oil (Not Fractionated!) to a 4 oz. jar. 2. Add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar to the jar. (if you want a coarser scrub, you may add larger crystals. If you want a gentler scrub, use a finer sugar. Mix both if you want a medium scrub) 3. Add 2 drops of Wild Orange and 1 drop or Peppermint doTERRA Essential Oils. (Can be purchased here) I will receive a small commission if you purchase through my retail page!) 4. Mix well together and place lid on! This scrub is GREAT for dry or cracked hands/feet/elbows/lips – any part of the body that is prone to chapping or cracking! DIRECTIONS FOR USAGE: 1. Stir well before each usage! 2. Take a drop in your hand and rub into affected areas 3. Scrub chapped areas with a pumice stone to smoothen out and remove excess skin! 4. Wipe off with a paper towel, not in sink! The coconut oil will harden and clog your drains! 5. Once the bulk of the concoction is wiped off with a paper towel, you may rinse feet off in a sink or tub. 6. Pat dry and repeat this process as often as you need to, probably more so in winter months when skink is more prone to chapping and cracking! Also don’t be afraid to try a spoon or taste of your concoction! All of doTERRA’s Essential Oils are Certified Therapeutic Grade, and if there are supplemental facts on the bottle, then those specific oils may be ingested. Both of the Peppermint and Wild Orange are ok for ingestion. The orange does have cleansing properties, so be careful of eating too much of that, it might activate your bowels, haha!
If you are interested in purchasing any of the products you saw in today’s video or interested in a doTERRA year membership so you can save big bucks on your oils through wholesale pricing (25% off retail price all year long!) and even have the opportunity to make some extra income sharing these magickal oils, email me personally at: [email protected] Thanks for watching you guys!
