Hello Loves! In today's video, I will take you along on my preparations for my 2nd ever Full Moon Tea Party for the Full Buck Moon of July! I apologize for uploading this video so late, but as most of you know I have had some very unfortunate family matters that I have been tending to for most of July. Thank you so much for your patience during this difficult time. In this video, I will show you some of the Book of Shadows pages and personal development worksheets that I have created for my Patrons and Private Facebook Community Members who attend my Full Moon Tea Party Livestreams. These live streams enable me to connect on a more personal and spiritual level with my Patrons. We talk about everything from our dreams, the tarot, astrology, personal experiences, traumas, and anything else you can possibly imagine in the realm of magick and personal development. This is a safe and private space to connect with other magickal beings on matters we don't feel safe discussing on public forum. Not everything has to, or should be public. I think that is the problem with this day and age. Everyone feels like they have to share every single thing at every moment. Some things are allowed to be kept sacred, and spirituality is definitely something that I feel compelled to share, but some parts of it, I also do either choose to keep to myself, or share with a smaller more intimate group of trusted people who can relate. Bohemian Magic Studios Presents Witchin’ Kitchen | Strawberry Poundcake Recipe Hello Magickal Beings! This video was intended for last year’s Strawberry Moon Celebration (2017), where we had visited Alstede Farm in Chester, NJ to pick some strawberries. As most of you know, a majority of the recipes and footage I had taken last summer, had to be placed on the back burner as I planned my extremely detailed wedding day. However, fret not! None of that footage has been discarded or disregarded as scrap. I have instead decided to edit and upload the videos anyway, during their appropriate season, as bonus content. So I hope you enjoy these nonetheless, even if they’re a bit late 😉 Now without further adieu, here is a Strawberry Poundcake Recipe that I tried with the strawberries we had picked last strawberry moon. This recipe was a bit more involved than the Strawberry Fruit Leather Recipe that I posted last week! Ingredients: 3/4 cup or 175 g softened butter 1/4 cup or 60 ml milk 1 1/2 cups or 290 g regular sugar 3 eggs (lightly beaten) 9 oz or 250 g Fresh Strawberries, mashed 1 3/4 cups or 225 g Plain / All purpose flour (sieved) 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract You’ll also need a Kitchen Aid Mixer, and a greased baking loaf pan. The recipe is pretty straight forward, it only uses 3 ingredients! I would like to thank FIFTEEN SPATULAS for the recipe, it is one of the recipes I have pinned to my LITHA pinterest boards. Ingredients:
1 cup of Strawberries (hulled, cut stem tops off) 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice 3 tbsp sugar You’ll also need a blender, a baking sheet and some parchment paper. Now you’ll notice in the video that I had first attempted this recipe with all of the strawberries that I had, which was definitely more than one cup. After noticing that my mixture would not condense down, I realized that I did have to follow this recipe per 1 cup of strawberries. So I ended up making each sheet in one cup increments, to achieve the best results. I hope you are able to try this recipe for this strawberry moon, as I will be making it again this year to celebrate. I hope you are having a lovely June so far! I’ve been feeling SUPER fiery and bursting with creative energy as of lately, so I wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate those feelings and put them back into my work. This includes video projects and fun things surrounding the seasonal cycles including the sabbats of the wheel of the year, and the esbats which are more based around the cycles of the moon. Most of you may know that the full moon that had just passed this past weekend, was the Strawberry Moon. According to Almanac.com: “June’s Full Strawberry Moon got its name because the Algonquin tribes knew it as a signal to gather ripening fruit. It was often known as the Full Rose Moon in Europe and the Honey Moon. This June, the Moon is officially full the morning of Friday, June 9, so the Moon will still appear full the day prior and after the peak.” Did you know that this Mini (or Apogee) Moon occurs only once every year in June, when the Moon’s orbit takes it further away from Earth. During that time, the Moon appears 14% smaller in the sky than it does when it is a Mega (or Perigee) Moon. So how are YOU celebrating this beautiful Strawberry Moon? I celebrated by going Strawberry picking with my fiancé. In this video, we visit the Strawberry patches of Alstede Farms in Chester, NJ. They had everything from farm animals, to live music, hayrides, a farmer’s market, wine tasting, and a little country store with farm fresh baked goods and preserves. Of course I couldn’t help myself and picked up a bottle of “Summer Solstice” wine. I definitely plan on cracking that open on June 21 (Litha aka Summer Solstice or Midsummer). Also, it might be a great idea for those creating a Litha or Midsummer altar, to leave a little strawberry juice for the fae, as they LOVE sweet nectars and magickal elixirs!
