Bohemian Magic Studios Presents
Part 2 - Salt Dough Mermaid Sea Ornaments (Painting)

Hello My Magickal Beings!!

I wanted to share a very magickal craft project with you all today because it's MERMAID SEASON! In this magickal mermaid video series, I thought it would be fun to explore the magick of the ocean and that mermaid energy I seem to feel every time July rolls around!

I do not actually prepare the salt dough in this video because I have already performed the recipe for it on this channel before. It's a very simple recipe with only 3 ingredients:
Salt, Flour & Water! If you'd like to view the actual recipe & process to make the dough, you can view it in my Sun Plaque for LITHA video that you watch here!

To watch me bake these salt door ornaments, please check out PART 1 HERE!

Also you'll need these adorable sea shape cookie cutters that I scored off amazon for about 10 bucks or so. And Great News! Amazon has restocked the 4 piece set, so you don't have to buy the Mermaid individually like I did:

If you would like to get in the Mermaid Spirit, here is a super informative book that has some amazing rituals, recipes, lore, spells, divination, crafts, correspondences, invocations, prayers and meditations. Call upon sea deities and saints to amplify your spiritual practice, and try a wide array of relaxation exercises and meditative techniques. It's called Sea Magic by Sandra Kynes.

After your magickal sea ornaments are baked, you can paint them just like I do in this video! The paints I used are all acrylic, except for the green glitter that I used on the mermaid's tail, which is Tempera paint.

The product list is as follows -

Paint:
20710 Valentine Pink (Apple Barrel, 8 oz.)
Warm White (Folk Art, 8 oz.)
961 Turquoise (Folk Art, 2 oz.)
Phthalocyanine Blue (Liquitex, 2 oz.)
72632 Deep Purple (Nicole's Craft Studio, 2 oz.)
653 Emerald Green (Folk Art Metallic, 2 oz.)
2480 Royal Gold (Folk Art Metallic, 2 oz.)
821 Baby Pink (Folk Art, 8 oz.)
17-3766 Green (Sargent Art Tempera Glitter Paint, 16 oz)
Phthalocyanine Green (Liquitex 2 oz)

Mod Podge Glue in Gloss

Glitters:
Doodlebug Design Sugar Coating Swimming Pool Glitter
Fine Pink Glitter from Hobby Lobby
(I couldn't find these exact glitters online, so I added similar ones to my Amazon List)

Here is a shopping list I created on amazon, with MOST of the art products and materials that I used in today's video. For the products I used that I could not find on Amazon, I have tried to get as close as possible with the color, but in another brand.

That is pretty much it! If you tried out this project, I'd LOVE to see how yours came out! Tag me in your beautiful creations on Instagram, so I can see - and I will feature you in my stories!

My Magickal Mermaid Altar (Feat. Litha Rose Brucia the Mer Priestess)

Hello Magickal Beings!!

WELCOME back to my July Mermaid Magick Series!!! Here is the 3rd video...
I wanted to share a very magickal craft project with you all today because it's MERMAID SEASON!

I do not actually prepare the salt dough in this video because I have already performed the recipe for it on my channel before. If you'd like to view the actual recipe to make the dough, you can view it in my Sun Plaque for LITHA video here!

It's a very simple recipe with only 3 ingredients:
Salt, Flour & Water!

You'll also need a clean surface to roll out your dough, and don't forget to flour it like I always do, so that it doesn't stick to it when you are rolling it out. You also don't want to mess up your shapes by prying them off the sticky surface when trying to transfer them to your baking sheet!

After your magickal sea ornaments are baked, you can paint them! Please stay tuned for Part 2 of this video to watch me paint and glitter my sea ornaments!

Bohemian Magic Studios Presents
How to Make Magickal Sea Salt for Your Mermaid Altar

Hello Magickal Beings!!

WELCOME to the second video in my July Mermaid Magick Series!!!

I filmed this video and had intended to release it July of 2017, but was planning a wedding, so this fell to the back burner. I still love the content and would love to share it with you, so I just had to finish it and post for your viewing pleasure.

In this video, I will show you how to make some really beautiful Magickal Sea Salt for your Mermaid Altar. The sea salt I make in this video contains crafting glitter and is for decorative purposes ONLY. If you would like to use this salt in your bath or in your beauty regimen, you can substitute the craft glitter with an edible baking glitter which you can also find at your local craft supply store in the baking section.

The Essential Oils I used in my Mer-Sea Salt:
Eucalyptus
Ylang Ylang
Whisper Blend (DoTerra)
Peppermint
Serenity Blend (DoTerra)

If you are interested in purchasing any of the products you saw in today’s video, check out my RETAIL PAGE!

If you're interested in booking a FREE one on one Essential Oil class with me, or in a doTERRA $35/year membership so you can save big bucks on your oils through wholesale pricing (25% off retail price all year long!) and even have the opportunity to make some extra income sharing these magickal oils, email me personally at:

Bohemian Magic Studios Presents
My Magickal Mermaid Altar (Feat. Litha Rose Brucia the Mer Priestess)

Hello Magickal Beings!!

WELCOME to the very first video in my July Mermaid Magick Series!!!

I filmed this whole series and had intended to release it July of 2017, but was planning a wedding, so this fell to the back burner. I still love the content and would love to share it with you, so I just had to finish it and post for your viewing pleasure.

In this first video, I have collaborated with one of my good friends in this nice little YouTube witchy community, Litha Rose formerly known as Ellie Brucia (also known as The Mer Priestess). In this video, she talks about a lovely painting of the sea goddess Yemaya, that was painted for her, by her loving mentor Jacqueline Dubois, the self proclaimed witch of San Clemente, California. Litha Rose had a really love YouTube channel with some amazing content, but has since deleted her channel. I am so saddened I can no longer revert back to her beautiful insight that she had to share about her spiritual and pagan path, but I wish her much love and light on her journey and hope to see some new content from her again soon!

Hello Magickal Beings!

Welcome back to this magickal space! It has been quite some time since I have been present around here, but I have been taking some time off to put together this wondrous mermaid series for you!

This July I would like to cordially invite you to my Magickal Mermaid Month where I will help you celebrate the powerful mer-goddess that you all have within yourselves! I will guide you through a series of creative activities to help you tap into your inner mer-power and help you celebrate life in mermaid style.

Together, we’ll create a meditative mermaid altar where you can showcase all your dinglehoppers, thingamabobs and underwater treasures. We’ll also make some homemade decor to place on here, including these adorable salt-dough sea ornaments, which I will show you how to bake, paint, and style to your mermaid liking.

Picture
And we can’t forget our calming altar sea salt recipe, complete with essential oils, sea shells and floral embellishments. Oh and my July month of mer-madness would not be complete without the help of my good friend Litha Rose formerly known as the Mer-Priestess. She has some beautiful insight into water goddesses and correspondences that we cannot wait to share with you!

All of these magickal videos will be available right on this channel for you to follow along with. I will release 1 mermaid video per week throughout the month of July, so if you want in on this fun, definitely make sure you are subscribed to my channel and hit that notification bell so you don’t miss a thing!

You can also sign up for my mailing list for email reminders every time a new video is posted.

Also be sure to follow me on instagram for more mermaid fun throughout the month of July! I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!

Bohemian Magic Studios Presents
My Altar Tour for Litha

Hello You Magickal Beings!!

I know I’m a few days late on this, but I still wanted to upload it because I spent a lot of time filming and editing it! Also, my actual day of Litha, which was June 21 for us in the Northern Hemisphere, was INSANE! It was action packed… I spent the weeks leading up to in, in preparation for it, and then the actual day of, I worked all day, and then got home at 4 pm only to prep more for it, lol. So I didn’t have as much time all month than I would have liked, to produce all the videos I had originally wanted to for it.

I also had some other recipes I wanted to do, and I even did do another craft and quick solstice wine recipe that will be in my next video that I’ll be posting in the next day or so. That will be my Litha vlog, which will contain all of the fun things I did ON the midsummer solstice this year.

Anyway, this video is better late than never! Also I’d like to cite a few of the references and things that you see IN This video so that I can better inform you about where I obtained them, or learned the information that I am supplying you with!

*The glittery sun plaque displayed on my altar is a homemade craft project that I made out of salt dough, and then painted with acrylic paints and glitter. I did a 2 part video series on these which you can find here…

Part 1 (Baking)
Part 2 (Painting)

*The Oracle cards used on my altar are from the Chakra Oracle deck by Tori Hartman, which can be purchased here

(NOT an affiliate link)
*The small anise candle in front of the sun plaque was gifted to me by my dear friend Dena Miller from the Youtube Channel @MiladyLeela

*The Viking Boat craft project and crystal/herb/flower correspondences came from Llewellyn’s Sabbat Essentials MIDSUMMER book which I did a review on, you can view that here!

Music is “The Poisoned Princess” by Media Right Productions from the Youtube Creator’s Library.

HOW TO MAKE A BELTANE ALTAR

5/2/2017

Hello You Magickal Beings!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Beltane! I had a nice day doing some spring cleaning, and redesigning my altar to flow with the new Spring season! Spring is all about “Out with the old and in with the new”. It’s a time to declutter, and rejuvenate our personal space whether it’s in our homes or even internally with our mind, body, and spirit!

In this video I will show you my own personal sacred space which I designed for Beltane. Beltane (or Beltain)  is typically celebrated on May 1, and is a time to celebrate our faery friends, and the union between the God and the Goddess. It’s about fertility and revival of all living things in nature.
Here are some key things you can place on your Beltane altar to celebrates the different aspects of the God, Goddess, and the Fae!

Colors
First things first, you want to decide on the colors and cloths you will be using to create your magickal space! I used bright colors to embody the feeling of spring and rejuvenation! For Beltane, you can typically anything that feels light and spring in nature. I used light purple cloth with little white floral print on it and tied the sides with some spring green organza ribbon. This cloth really sets the tone for the rest of the items I’ll be adding on top of it!

The God
Candles & Crystal Points
Items you will need on your altar to represent the God are typically anything phallic shaped, such as candles or crystal points. I personally used a pillar candle as my centerpiece as well as some quartz crystal points.
Picture
The Maypole
The Maypole is also a phallic shaped object often made of Birch. In my case, I used a candle with some ribbons tied to the top, as a replica to place on my altar. Those who traditionally dance the maypole weave the ribbons in and out of each other, symbolizing the union of the God and Goddess and the creation of life and fertility.
Picture
The Goddess
Shells, Bird Nests, Acorns, and Flowers
These magickal items are a great representation of the Goddess. I placed a magickal birdhouse on my altar as well as a seashell resting upon a bed of acorns I had foraged. These represent the womblike vessel that is synonymous with the Goddess.

I also used a combination of synthetic and real flowers to adorn the magickal space. I placed a synthetic flower crown in deep purples around the base of my centerpiece pillar candle.
Picture
However, I did pick some fresh dandelions and Forget-me-nots, along with some leaves and flowers from my crabapple tree! I made a nice little bouquet with them and placed them on my altar as well!

FireCandles are a great representation of fire which is a crucial element of Beltane. Mini cauldrons are also a great thing to place! I didn’t have one, so I just used my centerpiece candle to represent my Beltane Fire.

In ancient times, cattle and other farm animals were passed through  or made to jump over a Beltane Fire, as a means of purification. Nowadays, people hold bonfires in celebration of the Sabbat. There are even some places in the world that have weekend long festivals to commemorate the occasion!

Faery Offerings
The realm of the fae is most prominent around this time! Now is your time to attract those little buggers! First off, I placed some fairy statues around my space to honor the fae!
I also placed some honey in a little water for them to enjoy! I put this water into a seashell; it is important when feeding your fae, that you use a natural vessel, and stay away from synthetic ones! Faeries are very picky about what they drink from!

Picture
Also, crystals are a great way to get in touch with the faeries! I love to work with amethyst crystals when attracting the faeries as well because it is associated with the third eye chakra which is used to tap into otherworldly realms!

Another small offering I added was a little bowl of mixed sea salts with lavender, rose, and lemon essential oils! I also placed a seashell pendant in here once again as an offering to the faeries, and the goddess.
Picture

So these are just some ideas on how to celebrate Beltane and create a nice space surrounding those themes!

How do YOU celebrate this springtime Sabbat? Do you just celebrate on May 1, or do you continue to celebrate it throughout the whole month of May? What did you do this year? Let me know in the comments below!
